Jamie’s Italian

Jamie’s Italian – 3.5/5

We thought we were being smart by arriving at 11.50 for lunch at Jamie’s but were told we were in for a 1hr and 15min wait. Luckily we were early enough to snag some great seats at the bar! We whiled away the time with local WA beers (including Raging Bull) and coffee. When we were seated by our very efficient waiter, we tried the complimentary breads, the pumpkin nachos (little fried ravioli), truffled chips, prawn linguine, wild boar parpadelle and the truffled risotto. We also fit in the lemon meringue pie and the brownie for dessert.

Service was great and food was good – nothing amazing but nothing to complain about either. The dishes of the day were the risotto, the nachos and the desserts. The share ‘boards’ looked great though – maybe I’ll try those next time. Prices are reasonable. We left around 3.30 on Saturday afternoon and there were plenty of tables. A late lunch might be the way to skip the wait!
