Typika – 4/5

On arriving at Typika, we were greeted by a huge line and a short wait on our Sunday morning visit. The service, coffee and food were great and the cafe has a great fitout – it reminded me a little of Gordon Street Garage.

My long macchiato came with a palate cleanser – something I’ve never had before. It was an interesting addition, it tasted a little like weak tea? Three of our table of four ordered the Beef Benedict with harissa hollandaise and the other ordered the Martabak – a pork and beef filled pastry. The beef benedict was amazing – just don’t plan to eat lunch afterwards! It was really filling. Prices are on the high side. I hear the lunch menu is great too.
