Enrique’s School for to Bullfighting

Enrique’s School for to Bullfighting – 4/5

Enrique’s is definitely the flavour of the month in Highgate – the place was heaving when we arrived around 8 on Saturday night. Opened just a few weeks ago, Enrique’s is a ‘pop-up’ restaurant – open until mid-February. It is run by the same team who run The Trustee and the restaurant next door, The Beaufort Street Merchant.

Pumping out Iberian food – share plates, Spanish-style; the vibe is loud, relaxed and geared towards small bites with great beverages. Alongside bottles of cava, big beers and gin served in Spanish balloon glasses, we had the carrot salad, the ceviche with blood orange granita, chorizo with duck egg, the fried chicken, beef hash and chips with truffled aioli. The ceviche and chips were a highlight, however, we weren’t big fans of the beef hash.

Service is friendly and very attentive despite the crowds. The tunes are great and very 90s-friendly. Book a table before the pop-up disappears! Fingers crossed they’ll stick around after February.

  1. Oh, I really want to get to this place. It’s been months and I’m a bit scared that the time limit is almost up before the pop-up disappears!! Love your review. Sounds like a great place for casual eats and some amazing drinks x
