Bonsai Botanika – 3.5/5

Bonsai Botanika - 3.5/5 Stepping into Bonsai Botanika is a feast for the senses. Three levels high and full of fake grass, wooden panelling and kitschy decor, it was quite overwhelming on our first visit. A tip for first visitors - order your coffees and the signature flourless chocolate cake downstairs and your ramen and beers upstairs. We ordered a long macchiato and a hot chocolate (and a beer!) and settled in to the cosy tables on level two. The hot chocolate (there are three types to choose from) is served in a beaker which was then poured into hot milk. It was decadent sweet treat. When we visited, level three wasn't open and level two didn't yet have a cash register. We are keen to return to try out some of their Japanese meals.
