Aravina Estate – 4/5
We booked a table at Aravina on a weekend away in Margaret River. The venue is beautiful (it’s the old Amberley Estate) and the restaurant is huge. In summer, the balcony would be a perfect spot for lunch.
We splurged on a three course lunch, with our table trying the Esperance scallops with pork belly; the Manjimup marron with brioche, apple and truffle; the pork terrine with Persian feta; the lamb neck pappardelle and the beef short rib with creamed potato. We fit in a delicate pear and frangipani tart and a sticky date pudding for dessert.
Surprisingly, however, my favourite dish was our plate of warm bread. It was served with freshly made whipped butter mixed with their first Manjimup truffles for the season.
