Riverbar and Kitchen (Invited Dinner)

Riverbar & Kitchen Being by the Brisbane River on a Friday night is the perfect way to end the working week. The bright blue lights of the Story Bridge and the relaxed vibes from the CBD work crowd bring a fun and jovial feeling to the prime-positioned Riverbar & Kitchen. We were invited along to try out Riverbar's new cocktail menu and jumped at the chance to drink our way into the weekend. We enjoyed the Crimson Blossom (Belvedere citrus, raspberry, lemon, grapefruit and passionfruit), the Hotel Georgia (Beefeater gin, almond, lemon, egg white, orange blossom and topped with nutmeg) and the Plum Shino (our favourite Yamazaki Japanese whiskey, plum jam, lemon and plum bitters). Alongside our drinks we tried the meze plate, the snow crab slider (featuring deep fried gherkins!) and the chilli salt squid. Whilst the first two dishes were standard bar snack fare, the squid dish was delicious. Tender, salty and with just the right amount of chilli, it was served with moreish coriander dip. The venue screams Queensland with timber features, VJ walls, outdoor tables and loads of nautical styling. It will be a perfect venue for the Brisbane summer.
