King Arthur Cafe

King Arthur Cafe – 4/5

King Arthur Cafe - 4/5 Judging from the crowd of people waiting for a table on Sunday morning, King Arthur needs no introduction. Opened recently just off James Street, it is brought to you by the team behind @merriweathercaf. Housed in a beautiful old two story building, it is a lovely albeit loud space filled with lovely blue tiles. Our group of five squeezed around half of the large table upstairs (there aren't a lot of large tables), and enjoyed the avocado on rye with bay leaf ricotta and pistachio; the sourdough crumpets with rhubarb and honeycomb crumble; the slow cooker goat with tomato and sourdough; the grilled flatbread with chickpeas, beans and a fried duck egg and I indulged in a special of bread and butter French toast with roasted pear and ricotta. Service was very attentive and friendly.
