Gauge

Gauge – 4.5/5

Gauge - 4.5/5 It's a great feeling when you find a cafe that ticks all the boxes. Great food, service, coffee and ambience - it's a treat when you find them at the same venue and during our first visit to Gauge we were pleasantly surprised. Opened by the same team who look after @sourcedgrocer, Gauge has recently opened in South Brisbane close to Fish Lane. A simple, clean fit out brings a comfortable atmosphere - somewhere you could easily while away the morning. Alongside strong coffees, our table enjoyed the avocado on house sourdough; the brown rice pudding with wattleseed, poached quince and shaved shortbread; the smoked kingfish with spiced pearl barley and soft egg and the sourdough waffle with almond, artichoke custard, bee pollen and freeze dried honey. All of the dishes are immaculately plated and are full of interesting textures and flavours. Service is professional and attentive.
